Ashley Update

Well being parents has quickly changed our life.  It is amazing how quickly my days go by and yet I couldn't be happier doing anything else!  This darling little girl has brought so much joy into our home, we can't imagine life without her.

Ashley is growing and changing so fast!  It is so fun to see her learn new things and develop each and every day.  I can't get enough of her!  Here are some pictures of the last month.

Ashley watched all the Jayhawk games with Daddy

We had a little scare with Ashley's heart murmur but everything turned out to be just fine!

This girl loves to sleep all spread out

So exciting that she can smile at us now!

Sorry this is picture heavy, but I just can't get enough of my beautiful little girl!

Ashley Sarah Beck

Our sweet baby Ashley made her debut on March 5, 2012, right on her due date!  The day before I was feeling very large and like she was never going to come, having no expectation of going into labor any time soon.  I went to bed having zero contractions only to wake up at about 1am with really painful ones.  Tyler woke up completely on his own with the feeling that it was time to go to the hospital.  Which was pretty amazing!  We got to the hospital and checked in by 2am and I was dilated to a 5.  The nurses hurried to call the anesthesiologist in to give me my epidural about 3am.  Then everything went pretty quickly.  About quarter to 5am, my doctor came in to break my water and I was dilated to a 10 and it was time for the baby to come!  They got all set up and then I pushed for about 20 minutes and then our baby girl was here!  She was born at 5:34am weighing 7lbs 3oz and 21 inches long.  Everything went very smoothly and I am so grateful for a happy, healthy baby!

This is a week earlier when I was in false labor

Here I am in real labor.  Notice the difference :)

After the epidural is in...I'm a happy camper!

Tyler was great the entire time and has continued to be a huge help!

Nana and Papa were still in town and we were so glad they were able to see grandchild #15 before they went back to Cincy

Ashley is my parents' first grandchild.  We were so glad they could hurry up to see her!

My very favorite nurse Jackie!

Dr. Barton.  I couldn't have asked for a better doctor!

Ready to go home!

We are thrilled to have Ashley in our family and can't imagine our lives without her anymore!  She has been a great baby to sleep well during the night and let mom and dad get some rest every once in a while.  Welcome to the family Ashley!

Baby Girl Coming Soon!

I just realized I haven't posted much about my baby girl that is due on Monday!  It is crazy to think how fast the last nine months have gone, well minus the last two weeks.  I am just so anxious to meet my little baby!  She's definitely taking her time to make her entrance, but she'll be here soon enough!

This is at 20 weeks

Here I am at 39 weeks...ready to pop!

The nursery is all ready to go, so now it's just a waiting game!

Lot's of love!

I was fortunate enough to have quite a few baby showers in preparation for my little girl to come.  My ward back in AZ threw me one during Thanksgiving, Tyler's family threw me one during Christmas, family and friends here in Utah did one, my ward here, and my work.  I am so grateful to have such amazing friends and family who take such good care of me!  Unfortunately, I don't have pictures from all of them but here are a few to enjoy.

We must be sisters...

Christmas 2011

We spent two great weeks in Cincinnati spending time with Tyler's family for Christmas and New Year's this year.  It was a long vacation but it was very fun!

We spend Christmas morning running from the Pitts to the Gattuso's with Ty's parents to see the nieces/nephews light up on Christmas morning.  It was fun to see how excited they get.  It has been a long time since I was with little kids on Christmas morning.

Abigail got a new beam to practice her gymnastics on.  This was the sweetest thing to see how genuinely surprised and excited she was about it!  Of course Tyler had to try out his skills on it too.
Then on to the Gattuso's to catch their Christmas spirit.

The girls helped me open a surprise gift that Santa left at the Gattuso's for me.

Tyler's mom and all the sister-in-laws were kind enough to throw me a baby shower while we were there.  We had a great time celebrating and they took great care of me!

We celebrated New Year's with Ty's siblings at Beni Hana.
Great company and a great time as always!
