Graduation!

Thanks to my wonderful parents for all their support!
All my family
My wonderful husband who encouraged me through everything!
Last Friday I graduated from college!  Wow I never thought this day would come and it was a great day!  My family came into town from Arizona and my grandparents were able to make it out as well.  I made it though a year of driving down to Provo from Salt Lake and although it wasn't easy, it was definitely worth it!!

Oh School...

We love school, we love school, we love school.  At least that is what we have been convincing ourselves the last few weeks.  I will be more than happy once this long semester is over and done.  Ty and I are both taking 18 credits and basically never see each other all week long.  It is awful!  And then by the time the weekends come around we are so dead we just hang out at home....lame, I know.

I'd really like to snap my fingers right now and be on a trip to this beautiful place pictured below (of course it would be free)

On a happier note, I did just order my cap, gown and my announcements for graduation in April.  It does feel weird that I am almost done with school for FOR-E-VER.  Okay, I'm done thinking its weird and am just really excited.  I'm looking forward to the day when I won't have loads of homework constantly looming over my head....can't wait!!!

Christmas Break (A Month Late)

Tyler and I were fortunate enough to take a Christmas vacation down to sunny Arizona and spend our first Christmas together.  We spent a week with Tyler's parents in Peoria and then a week with my family in Mesa.  It was so nice to get away from the snow for a couple of weeks and enjoy the company of our families without having to worry about school or work.  And one of the highlights was that it was almost 80 degrees on Christmas day :)  Here are some pictures from the trip.

We also celebrated our first wedding anniversary.  We celebrated by spending a night at the Hyatt Regency in Scottsdale, which was the place where Tyler proposed to me.  Unfortunately the gondola rides were closed but it was fun to be at the same place.  It is hard to believe that a year has already past by and it has been fun to reminisce on all the fun adventures we have gone through in the past year as a married couple.  I can't wait for the many memories to come!

The night we got engaged

Then we came back to the snow in Utah and tried to embrace it by hitting the slopes!

Now we are back to doing the school thing and keeping busy with that.  Tyler is in his second semester of grad school and searching for an internship for the summer.  I am in my final semester at BYU and looking forward to graduating in April!!  (yeah!)  I also took up another job on top of personal training as an intern for a corporate wellness program and I am really excited about the experience it will give me.  Life is busy but we try to enjoy the craziness and the time we have together.

Lately

I got to visit Arizona about a month ago for a quick trip to be with my good friend, Paige on her wedding day.  It was especially fun because she married my brother's best friend so I was a bridesmaid and he was a groomsman.  Everything turned out beautifully and it was great to spend time with them on their special day!

We celebrated Halloween at Jimmy and Kira's house with all of our buddies.  That was a fun night!  We made our costumes all on our own and dressed up as stick figures.

The Whole Gang

We had a great vacation out to Cinncinati a few weeks ago.  It is always fun to be with the family and we were especially excited to see the newest addition, Taylor Hensley.  He was born prematurely and just got to go home from the hospital this week!  We are so excited about his progress!

While we were in Ohio, we also got to go to Dan and Sarah Impellizzeri's wedding, Tyler's close friends.  The wedding was beautiful and we had a great time celebrating with them!  Ty sure had a great time catching up with his friends from back home and it was fun for me to get to know them better.

Ty was SO excited to have the title of "Dr." for a night :)

It's hard to believe the semester is getting close to being done...another one down, one and a half to go (for me at least).  That is an exciting thought!  We're working hard and loving are crazy life!

Happy Thanksgiving this week!  We sure have a lot to be thankful for :)

All Sorts of New

The summer came and went pretty quickly...and if you ask me, maybe a little too quickly. Tyler has jumped into the MBA program at the U and is enjoying it so far. It is extremely busy for him, but he's excited about the program. I am back to school at BYU, driving three days a week down to P-town. We just keep plugging along and find the joys in our busy life.

I recently passed my certification test as a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer. I am very excited about that and I just started a new job at a personal training facility in Holladay called Fit Forever. It is a great company and will hopefully give me the experience I am looking for. So, if anyone in the Salt Lake area is in need of a personal trainer...look me up! I am trying to build up my clientele and any leads would be great!

Tyler and I are both enjoying our journey right now and feel so very blessed with all that we have. Life isn't a piece of cake, but we sure have a lot to be grateful for!

Happy 4th of July Weekend

We've have had a wonderful, relaxing weekend and it has been absolutely fabulous! Wouldn't it be wonderful if we had Mondays off every week? I sure think so. Friday, Tyler and I went and saw Karate Kid and we loved it!! It was a really fun movie, so I'd definitely see it if I were you.

Saturday we went to Sugarhouse to Tyler's Aunt's house and celebrated the holiday with all the neighbors over there. Toward the end of the night, we decided to try out the good old tandem bike so we could go over to the park and watch the fireworks. Now, I'll admit I'm not really the adventurous type and this whole tandem thing was a little...okay a lot nerve racking for me. You can laugh all you want, but being on the back seat where you have no control over where the bike is going, can be scary. Well, don't worry we made it out alive and it turned out to be really fun, once I could loosen my grip on the handle bars a little bit.

Then on Sunday, my mom and sister came into town and we had dinner at my grandpa and grandmas house, which is always wonderful. Then we went to Park City to watch some more fireworks! They were amazing!! We had a lot of fun.

Today, we got to sleep in and relax during the day and grill out for dinner, and like I've said, it has just been wonderful! I must say, I am not especially excited to go back to school and work tomorrow, but it's a short week so we'll be okay. Hope you had a great weekend as well. I'm glad to be in such a wonderful country and for all those who have served and given their lives to protect our freedoms. We live in a wonderful nation! Happy 4th of July weekend!

Here are some pictures from our events this weekend. I know there aren't very many. I really am trying to take more pictures, it is just more difficult for me than normal people I think...
