The Beecher's come to Cincinnati

My parents and brother David came to visit us the beginning of October and it was so fun to have them here!  We did a lot of shopping and touring the city.  Of course, all they really wanted to do was be with their grand-baby, Ashley.  We had a great time with them and hopefully they can come back soon!

David performed his first diaper change while he was here.  Ashley was a little skeptical.

Carrie Underwood Concert

For my birthday last May, Tyler surprised me with tickets to the Carrie Underwood concert in Louisville.  The concert was the end of September and was AMAZING!  I felt like a kid on Christmas morning waiting for Carrie to come on stage.  We had a great time and it was so nice to get out without the baby for a night.  Thanks to my wonderful hubby for a fun time!

My Growing Girl

I'm a little behind on updating the blog, so get ready for picture overload.  Ashley has grown up so much over the last month, it is amazing how quickly time is flying!  She is so much fun and brings so much joy into our home.  Here's a quick update on all her latest activities.

She loves to play in the exersaucer (and mom loves it too)
She now eats solid foods, and I can't get it in her mouth fast enough

She LOVES winnie the pooh

She loves to "read" her books, they keep her entertained for quite a while

We went swimming for the first time with Ashley a few weeks ago.  She had a great time in the water.

She grabs at EVERYTHING in front of her

She loves to hang out with mom :)

She can almost sit up on her own

And she is so dang cute I can't handle it!

I can't believe my little girl is 6 months old already.  We had her latest check up this week and she is  growing like a weed.  Ashley now weights 15 pounds and is 28.5 inches long.  Just a tall and skinny girl, but healthy as ever.

Grandpa's in Town!

My dad had work in Dayton last week and once he was finished, decided to spend the weekend with us.  It was so much fun to have him in town for a few days!  We took advantage of the extra set of hands and installed a few ceiling fans, fixed a couple of pipes, and hung pictures on the walls.  He was a great sport to help with our house projects during his time off!

And, of course, we had to take him to have famous ribs at Montgomery Inn while he was here.

As much as I'd like to believe he came to see Tyler and I, I know he was most looking forward to seeing his grandbaby and she was excited to spend time with her Grandpa!

All Moved In!

After four months of anticipation, we closed on our very first home on August 2, 2012.  We are so excited to finally have a place to call our own!  It has taken a little while to get all settled, but it has been fun for me to put it all together and I think after a month it finally feels like home.

At closing with our awesome realtor, Jen

Ashley was in good hands as we were busy with the house.
This is her first tea party with the cousins!

Thanks to all who helped with the move, especially Ty's family for help moving and watching our little Ashley!

4th of July

It is crazy how quickly July came!  We had a much more eventful 4th of July than we had initially planned.  We woke up early to get to all the "4th of July Sales" for appliances and furniture that we needed for our new home and then planned to come back for the Anderson parade and then a party at the Beck's home later that afternoon.  Well we successfully got to some of the sales, but in the meantime, I managed to lock our only set of keys in the jeep and we were stranded at the mall for about an hour before roadside assistance came to save us.  Luckily, we had Ashley with us outside the car and we were at a place where we could be in air conditioning and somewhat entertained (or just spend more money).   Needless to say, we missed the Anderson parade but did get to enjoy the family at the Beck 4th of July party.  Happy 4th!
